My mum had a hard life and therefore had a lot of trust issues and by the end of her life her mental state was that she had cut everyone out apart from me. Still to this day I feel very honoured that I was the only person named in her will and therefore I was handed her entire life when she passed away. I inherited her house and all her possessions which meant I effectively ‘became’ her in a way and I am certain it will always be the most confusing, wonderful and terrible thing that has ever happened to me.
